Haifa's Technion technology institute has replaced the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as Israel's top school in Shanghai's Academic Ranking of World University's. The Technion moved up eight places to 69, while the Hebrew University dropped 20 places to 87.
Rechovot's Weizmann Institute and Tel Aviv University placed in the second 100, while Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Be'er Sheva' placed between 400 and 500.
