Opposition leader, MK Yitzhak Herzog, on Friday blasted the state budget that was approved by the government.

"The new state budget looks a national plan to expand the gaps, deepen poverty and continue the deterioration in Israeli agriculture and industry," said Herzog. ''Couples who pay a suffocating mortgage will choke even more, apartment renters will pay more, patients waiting for surgery will wait longer and the education system will continue to produce clownish campaigns and wallow in low results," he said.

"The people of Israel were promised by the government that the current budget will be a social budget, and instead we got an outdated and archaic budget that continues the legacy of Netanyahu's budgets," added Herzog.
