Gush Katif Residents Committee welcomes passing of budget

The Gush Katif Residents Committee welcomed on Friday the government's decision to allocate a sum of money in the budget that will go towards the completion of the public buildings in the permanent communities of the Gush Katif evacuees across the country.

"The decision will help advance the erection of public buildings necessary for the existence of the community, and whose construction is not yet completed due to budgetary constraints (such as synagogues, ritual baths, clubs). Completing the construction of these public buildings will correct the injustice in the 11-year delay in compensation for the permanent structures that were destroyed Gush Katif," it said.

"The residents praise Minister Uri Ariel, who initiated and promoted the government's decision, Ministers Yoav Galant and Moshe Kahlon who joined as full partners, and all the ministers who took part in the decision."
