Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon unveiled the 2017-18 budget to the cabinet, Thursday morning. He told the ministers, "This budget is a budget with growth engines, with tax cuts, with relief for companies, with relief from regulation and opening businesses and access of relief for all manners of business. Regarding the defense budget I am proud of the agreement between the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Finance."
Kahlon said the budget contains efforts to fight the concentration of capital and open the market to competition. He added, "We continue the national effort to solve the housing crisis. In the next four years, most state land will be allocated to young couples. The "Mortgage price" (Mechir Lemishtachen) subsidized mortgage program will continue throughout the country."
