Yad L'Achim reported, Monday, that calls to its emergency switchboard go up during summer vacation and ahead of the autumn Jewish holiday season. The anti-assimilation organization said vacation time finds youth out of school and out on the street until the early hours of the morning, increasing the chance of starting relations with non-Jews. Jewish girls often end up moving into Arab villages.

Usually relatives or friends contact Yad L'Achim, but the holiday season and its association with family memories often prompts the girls themselves to call. The organization says it reinforces its around-the-clock staffing at this time of year to deal with the situation.
