Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said, Sunday evening, that there was no legal barrier to studying the status of lots next to Amona as a place for relocating the Samarian Jewish community, which must be uprooted by December 25th under a Supreme Court order. Those lots could be used under the Absentee Property Law, which gives the state property of those who left for hostile states during the War of Independence.
Amona residents said they had no objection but would prefer legislation to authorize Amona and avoid relocation.
