The Knesset House Committee has approved the establishment of a joint committee with the Constitution, Justice and Law Committee to discuss the so-called "V15 Law".
The law would place the same restrictions that political parties face on other groups that engage in activities normally carried out only by political parties during election campaigns. The restrictions relate to fundraising and other activities. It has been called the V15 Law after a non-party campaign to defeat Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in the 2015 election.
