Public Safety Minister Gilad Erdan fired Assistant Police Commissioner Nisim Edri, Sunday, pursuant to a recommendation by former police chief Yochanan Danino. Erdan also held a hearing for Edri.
Edri was convicted in the police disciplinary court and court of appeal on a number of charges stemming from his failure to act on information in a case of sexual harassment involving an officer under his command. He was also convicted of giving false information while being questioned in the case.
