Before today's Cabinet meeting, Education Minister Naftali Bennett commented on 2014's Operation Protective Edge.
"Two years ago, the Israeli government sent IDF soldiers into Gaza to destroy terror tunnels leading into the state of Israel. It was a mistake...we don't need 51 days to triumph over Hamas.
He continued, "The state comptroller has dedicated long months...in order to get a true picture of what happened, so that we can improve upon it. I recommend everyone be patient, and wait for the final comptroller report.
"It's a serious report, well-founded, and reliable. I support the state comptroller, and we need to accept his recommendations, and implement them."
