On Saturday night, police shot a man who broke into a home in Yavne after reports came in of a man in his 30s attacking the residents of the house.
A policeman fired at the man's limbs, when he turned to attack him.
The perpetrator is lightly wounded.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
