The Lod District Court has extended the remand of Rabbi Eliezer Berland until 2:00 pm Wednesday, as police continue to investigate allegations of sex offenses against the leader of the Shuvu Banim stream of the Breslov hasidic movement.
Ruling on the police appeal of the Rishon Letzion Magistrate's Court order to release Rabbi Berland to house arrest, Judge Devorah Atar cited investigative material that was not available to the lower court.
