Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Avi Dichter commented on the trial of Elor Azariya:
"The process of the Elor Azariya is completely contaminated by politicians and other public figures...when elected officials busy themselves with a minor matter, the minor matter become major, and major matters become minor...the 'contamination' created a process which will take a lot more time, and everyone will come out of it a loser. "
