The parents of murdered Kiryat Arba' teenager Hallel Ariel asked the government, Sunday, not to uproot the Mitzpeh Avichai outpost community on Hill 18 near their home. The land is in the municipal area of Kiryat Arba' but access is only through private Arab lands.
Rina Ariel told Yediot Ahronot, "If the outpost had been settled before the murder, the terrorist would not have been able to reach us at all." She added, "We're afraid they'll uproot the families after the [initial] 30 days after Hallel's murder, and this must not be allowed to happen."
