Science Minister storms out as Cabinet votes on education law

Science Minister Ofir Akunis (Likud) stormed out of the Cabinet meeting over canceling the Core Curriculum Law, which mandates that English, math, and science be taught in all schools in Israel.

Before he left the meeting, skipping the vote: "I want all the children of Israel to learn English, mathematics, and sciences. It is the right thing, and the just thing, which will maintain the childen of Israel, and the entire country, as a trail-blazing and innovating state in the eyes of the whole world. This cancellation is a mistake!"
