The Secretariat of the Labor party unanimously approved, Thursday, a proposal by Chairman Yitzhak Herzog and Secretary-General Hilik Bar to hold primaries for chairmanship and leadership of party institutions in July of 2017. Under the proposal, the elections for secretary-general will be held this December.
The office announced a party convention on July 31st to ratify the decision.
