A bill to reduce the price of baby formula has been passed for a preliminary reading in the Knesset.
The bill, sponsored by MK Rachel Azariya (Kulanu), calls for a price ceiling on a relatively expensive basic product.
"Parents should not need to pay so much money for a basic necessity like baby formula," Azariya insisted. "Our goal is to reduce the current price by 30%."
