As the deadline for a national budget looms on Thursday, opposition member MK Miki Rosenthal (Labour) picks holes in the plan for a 2-year budget.
"Aside from the known dangers of a bi-annual budget, the significance of this process is as a way to sideline the Knesset, and to leave the power in the hands of the Treasury.
"The Treasury will decide for themselves if there is a gap [in the budget], and if there is a gap, the Treasury will be able to offset the budget adjustments, withouth bringing the matter to be passed in the Knesset. This is very serious."
The government has been operating on a month-to-month emergency budget, after the 2015 budget failed to pass before elections were called.
