An employee of the Defense Ministry's Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria has been suspended over the leak of an internal document summarizing a discussion with the political echelon about the uprooting of the Samarian Jewish community of Amona. The Supreme Court has ordered that the uprooting take place by the end of the year.
The document was publicized on Channel 10 Television. It indicated that the uprooting is inevitable. Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked discussed options for an Israeli presence to remain in Amona. Allowing for the possibility, Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit recommended not to give Amona residents any illusions.
