The Office of Religious Services said, Tuesday, that it is looking into an incident at the Segulah Cemetery in which the wrong body was buried. Members of the hevra kadisha burial society had to stop the funeral of a 72-year-old woman after they discovered they had interred the body of another woman. The funeral started over from the beginning after the husband confirmed the identity of correct corpse.

The Religious Services Office said it took the incident seriously, noting that there is a clear procedure designed to prevent such instances and other human errors.
