The Knesset Ethics Committee has deemed "illegitimate" remarks by Members of Knesset Yisrael Eichler (United Torah Judaism) and Yitzhak Cohen (Shas) against Knesset member Yehuda Glick (Likud). Citing Glick's going up to Jerusalem's Temple Mount, Eichler called him "murderer" and "blood spiller" and Cohen said the wave of deadly Arab violence that started last fall should be named after Glick.
The committee was responding to the ensuing complaint by Glick. It decided not to impose sanctions against the two MKs but called on all Knesset members to refrain from such language, saying it goes beyond freedom of expression and could encourage harm to an MK.
