MK Karin Elharar (Yesh Atid), head of the State Control Committee who also headed the special committee on the Public Broadcasting Corporation Law, commented on Monday evening on the decision to postpone the establishment of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation until 2018.
"Prime Minister Netanyahu, in his role as Communications Minister, along with Histadrut chairman Avi Nissenkorn decided to destroy any attempt to enforce a public broadcasting law that the same Prime Minister confirmed in his previous term. They apparently decided to do everything to prevent the Public Broadcasting Corporation Law from being enforced,” she said.
“We will not allow this conduct, and I intend to hold a hearing as soon as possible at the State Control Committee,” added Elharar.
