The Haifa Magistrates Court has awarded 65,000 shekels plus 7,000 court costs to a woman who was denied access to a mikveh (ritual bath) because she was about to get married in a Reform Jewish ceremony.
The Reform Center for Religion and State filed a discrimination suit against a body which operates mikvaot in secular neighborhoods. The court's ruling reflected the organization's failure to respond in a timely fashion.
