Members of the Council of Torah Sages of the United States and the Satmar Rebbe are scheduled to arrive in Toronto, Monday, as part of a trip to preserve the Jewishness of French immigrants to Israel and to strengthen Jewish communities left behind. The trip was organized in light of anti-Semitism, riots and tensions in France.

According to a special report by the Fund to Save French Children, three million dollars will be needed in the coming year to provide institutions for the children of immigrant families. One of the participants in the trip said the Jewish Agency did not allow haredi institutions to be represented during recent aliyah fairs in France which were well attended because of the situation.
