More than 17,000 complaints were made to the Ombudsman's Office in 2015, according to the office's annual report, released on Monday by State Comptroller Yoseph Shapiro. The number of justified complaints rose from 30.5 percent in 2014 to 33.4, indicating that the service citizens receive from the public sector must be improved, according to the report.
The worst offenders were the Postal Authority with 69 percent justified complaints and the Transportation Ministry with 52 percent. The Broadcasting Authority, Israel Defense Forces, Israel Electric Company and the Education Ministry ranged from 48 percent to 40 percent.
