An Arab alighting on the Jerusalem Light Rail at the Jaffa Center Station aroused the suspicions of security forces in the area.
When questioned, he said he had an improvised explosive device (IED) in his backpack - and was detained on the spot. Police have closed off the area, and bomb squads are dealing with the situation.
