Opposition Leader Yitzchak Herzog (Zionist Union): "'The Impeachment Law' which the coalition is advancing is a bullet between the eyes for Israeli democracy.
"To give members of the Knesset the power to remove other members of the Knesset from the plenum is a destructive proccess that must not occur. The current coalition is determined to destroy the Israeli democracy that impedes her, along with the court system and free speech."
Herzog is touching on what is commonly referred to as the "Zoabi Law," which would enable the impeachment of any MK who expresses support for terror or anti-Israel violence.
