When MK Zoabi got up to speak today, the world wasn't listening.

As she gave a speech supporting a vote of no-cofidence proposed by the opposition, most other MKs quietly filed out of the Knesset plenum. Of those that remained, most were representatives of the Zionist Union and Meretz.

The walk-out is a result of MK Eitan Cabel's efforts to organize a "Zoabi boycott." In an open letter signed by many other MKs, he wrote:

"I watched this event (Zoabi's speech) many times, and I must admit, I was ashamed that an MK was lying through their teeth, making false accusations, inciting to violence, and consistently and blatantly attacking the State and its values. The need to respond and to contradict her unacceptable statements is completely necessary, but not via an all-out attack. We must refrain from playing into her hands."
