After the Liberal Democratic party secured a super-majority in Sunday's elections, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has announced his intention to revise the constitution's anti-war article 9.
Article 9 was included in Japan's constitution after World War II. Its removal or revision would put China, who is still licking her scars from imperial Japan, on high alert.
If passed in parliament, the revision would have to finalized through a simple majority of the general populace in a referendum.
