6.4-magnitude earthquake strikes Ecuador

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador's north-west coast on Sunday night. The quake was centered near the town of Esmeraldas, north-west of the capital Quito.

No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake.
