A ceremony was held, Sunday evening, to mark the 40th anniversary of the rescue of Israeli and other Jewish hostages from hijackers at the airport in Entebbe, Uganda. A ceremony was held at the old Entebbe airport last Monday, the anniversary on the English calendar. The Hebrew anniversary is this Tuesday.

Attending the ceremony at the Jerusalem Theater was Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who lost his brother Yoni in the operation, President Reuven Rivlin, ministers and Knesset members. Also in attendance were surviving hostages and relatives of hostages.
