Charlie Azaria, the father of the soldier being tried for shooting a neutralized terrorist in Hevron, criticized the conduct of the prosecution in the case. Speaking during a recess in the trial, he said they were sewing up the case to send his son to jail. Saying all he wanted was a fair trial, he added that all lies should be thrown out.

Upon resumption of the trial, prosecutors complained of an attack bordering on incitement, and asked the court to condemn Azaria's words.
