The law proposed by MK Yifat Shasha-Biton (Kulanu) passed its preliminary reading in the Knesset with minor changes. 55 voted for, none voted against or abstained.
The law that adoptees that want to discover their parentage will not have to turn to the courts for permission, and won't have to pay a fee. The same goes for adoptive parents.
