Former Minister Eli Yishai on Friday replied to Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, who referred to the party weakening in recent polls and claimed that this was due to the split and controversies among its members.
"I suggest that Mr. Deri stop looking to blame people for the deterioration of Shas in the polls and do some internal housecleaning. Maybe worrying about the really important things might help. Start dealing with the Kotel being abandoned in favor of the Reform Jews, the desecration of the Sabbath in Jerusalem, the skyrocketing cost of living, and on doing public work with integrity, and leave the fights against rabbis or Sadan aside," said Yishai.
"When the time comes I will describe in what state the Shas movement was when it came into my hands," he added.
