The Coalition toppled a preliminary hearing of a proposed bill to increase stipends for senior citizens.
“The rejection of this bill is an embarrassment to the government… 25% of Israel’s elderly population is poor,” MK Dov Khenin, who initiated the bill, said following the vote.
