Coalition Chairman David Bitan met on Wednesday morning with Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri in an attempt to settle the crisis within the coalition stirred up as a result of alleged prejudicial statements made by Channel 10 board chairman Rami Sadan.
A statement from the Likud faction explained that “After a positive meeting with the Interior Minister and after an investigation was launched, as per the Coalition head’s request, it is clear that the media reports were exaggerated and that statements attributed to Sadan against the Interior Minister were not said, although inappropriate statements were made that should never have been uttered.”
