Prosecutors have filed charges against Eliyahu Erez, a 70-year-old man from Haifa, for alleged fraud under aggravated circumstances, falsifying documents, using forged documents, theft and illegally entering Israel.
Last April, Erez allegedly expressed his intention to purchase the Maccabi Netanya soccer team, and asked to meet with the owner and senior municipal officials in Netanya.
