Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Dov Kalmonovich responded to the “Ir Amim” organization’s petition to the High Court against the Rikudegalim parade’s scheduled marching trajectory.
“There is no doubt that Ir Amim represents the Arabs. Just yesterday, we heard their opposition against construction in the east of the city, and today we hear their opposition against Jews entering the Muslim Quarter on their holiday. There is no doubt that they want to undermine our sovereignty in the city. What the Arabs fail to do through terror attacks, Ir Amim attempts to do via the High Court.”
