An earthquake measuring 6.2 was recorded off the Indonesian island of Sumatra on Thursday (local time), the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake was centered about 155 kilometers south of Padang at a depth of about 40 kilometers. There were no immediate reports of damages or injury.
