MK Nachman Shai (Zionist Union) announced on Friday that he will initiate a discussion in the Knesset on the rape of a mentally disabled Jewish woman by Palestinians, saying the incident marks a rise in hate crime and the degree of violence.
"The law enforcement agencies and the judiciary must realize the full extent of the law with the accused. The response of the Prime Minister to the act and his claims that the left did not get up and back him are fictitious. The Prime Minister cynically took advantage of this opportunity to mix politics and violence. The Knesset should hold a discussion on this crime and the improper link that was made between it and Israel's political struggles," said Shai.
