Knesset committee to vote on changing core studies law

The Constitution, Law and Justice Committee is expected to vote on Sunday on changing the ‘Liba’ core studies law, according to which, haredi (ultra-Orthodox) institutions granted exemptions can choose not to teach English and mathematics, while still receiving government fundings.

The United Torah Judaism (UTJ) party included this change in coalition talks with the Likud.
