MK Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin (Zionist Union) responded on Friday to the resignation of Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, claiming that it "marks the end of the liberal right."

"The Israeli right has turned into a right that is all one voice of populism, racism and incitement. A right in which there is no room for compassion, morality and ethical people like Ya'alon, Orly Levy and Benny Begin," said Nahmias-Verbin.

"On his way to strengthen his autocracy, Netanyahu is firing anyone who dares to think differently than him. It turns out that Netanyahu has become the most tangible threat to Israeli society and its security," she added.
