The head of the Institute for National Security Studies, Amos Yadlin, responded on Friday to the resignation of Minister Moshe Ya'alon from the Knesset.

"Bogie went according to his conscience and reach a moral decision. The personal and public norms which he demonstrated throughout his years of service to the state are an important threshold for the Israeli public. Ya'alon led the defense establishment with courage, composure and discretion in a complex environment and in a challenging time period - the Israeli public knows and appreciate this", said Yadlin.

"Given the threats and challenges it faces, Israel needs, especially today, a leadership which includes individuals such as Bogie who have the ability to act according to a moral compass, to study the changing environment and make decisions using a strategic vision. I am convinced that Ya'alon will continue to contribute to the national security of the State of Israel," he added.
