The Jerusalem Periphery Forum applauded the expected appointment of MK Avigdor Liberman to the position of Defense Minister.
“Avigdor Liberman is a trusted and important friend of the settlements, but he must now prove that a promise is a promise. The European Union’s illegal construction on “Area C” lands continues alongside near inexistent enforcement. The new Defense Minister must act to make immediate changes in the field and instruct operational divisions to act to enforce the law and return Israeli sovereignty to the field.”
