MK David Amsalem (Likud) responded to coalition talks with the Labor party.
“On behalf of the nation of Israel, I am concerned. A unity government needs to be established on a joint ideology and common ideas. All of the talks currently taking place are about ‘chairs.’ I think that part of it is that the public doesn’t like politicians; they border on hating them. It’s because they are always lying. We went to the polls with the slogan, ‘It’s them or us.’ In all honesty, the gap between us and the Labor party cannot be bridged. We do not agree with them on the Land of Israel, or on construction in Jerusalem. Who would we build with, Zohir Bahalul or Stav Shaffir?”
