A JetBlue plane plummeted 30 meters towards the Earth today (Wednesday), causing eight people to be hospitalized, the Washington Post reports.
The plane was flying from Puerto Rico to Florida when it encountered turbulence. One passenger said that it felt as though the plane had fallen into an "empty hole."
The condition of the hospitalized passengers is not yet known, though at least two people were seen striking their heads on storage compartments.
