Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu says that his brother Yoni's death changed the course of his life. Hearing of Yoni's death during Operation Entebbe, Binyamin felt a terrible pain, as though some had cut off one of his limbs.
During a special interview on Reshet Bet, the Prime Minister explained that he had to inform his parents, who were in the US, about their son's death. "It was the worst moment of my life," he said.
Netanyahu added that knowing the horrible effect of losing a family member to war makes him insists on knowing the possible dangers before any action or decision in order to prevent unnecessary losses. At least two or three times per day, he tries to guess what Yoni would have done in a similar situation.
