US Vice President Joe Biden claims that he would have been the "best president," but that he chose not to run for the office.
During an interview on Good Morning America, he said: "I think I would have been the best president, but it was the right thing not just for my family but for me," to not campaign.
He further explained that he intended to do so, but that his son's death derailed the plans. "No one should ever seek the presidency unless they're able to devote their whole heart and soul and passion into just doing that. And Beau was my soul."
