Science Minister Ofir Akunis (Likud) took part in a Memorial Day ceremony at the Nachlat Yitzhak cemetery in Tel Aviv.
Akunis said that “Israel does not need sermons on morals from any country in world regarding a desire for peace. We have always aimed for peace and we want it, but we will never compromise on our security and on our right to self-defense. It is our obligation to those who fell in battle, and it is our obligation to future generations.”
