Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said during a Memorial Day ceremony at the Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv that “Just this past week, we again witnessed attempts made by Hamas and terror organizations in Gaza, to disrupt our lives and shoot at IDF officers searching for terror tunnels down south. We will not compromise on this matter and will not be intimidated by these threats or others. We will adopt an iron fist towards those who seek to harm us and will strike back at any time, from any place.”
Yaalon added that “Even in tough times, when blood boils and the fury is great, we must not lose our way or our morals… We must safeguard the purity of weapons and human image.”
