MK Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home) turned on Sunday to the Prime Minister, Economics Minister and Transport Minister, in light of an announcement made by Israel Railways to the citizens of Ra’anana, regarding upgrades and maintenance work to be done this coming Sabbath.
“The State of Israel has always kept the Sabbath in public and ensured that activities that would harm the holiness of the Sabbath and public sensitivity would not take place. Work on the train tracks planned for this coming Sabbath will desecrate the Sabbath, and for this, there is no justification,” Smotrich said.
